Jakarta (DreamLandLibrary) - Original Title: (NO SARA) The teachings of KOS (Christian Orthodox Syrians) which are similar to Islamic teachings
KOS (Syrian Orthodox Christian) is one of the Christian sects whose teachings are very precise with Islam from the way they are dressed in peci / skullcap, koko clothes, prayer rugs and also headscarves. Moreover, in the way of worship, this teaching recognizes prayer with 7 times, namely: sa'atul awwal (body), sa'atuts tsalis (dhuha), sa'atus sadistic (Dhuhr), sa'atut tis'ah (ashar), sa'atul ghurub (maghrib), sa'atun naum (Isha '), and sa'atul layl (midnight / tahajud). Very similar is not it ??
In addition to prayer, KOS also has sharia principles similar to Islam, such as:
1. KOS fasting for 40 days called shaumil kabir which is similar to Ramadan fasting
2. KOS has a sunnah fasting on Wednesday & Friday which is similar to the Sunnah Fasting Monday & Thursday
3. KOS requires the congregation to pay tithe 10% of gross (gross) income
4. KOS women are also required to wear the hijab and robes that cover their genitals to their ankles
5. KOS recitation also uses a mat / carpet (Lesbian), like Muslims hold a recitation
6. Host Musabaqoh Tilawatil Injil by using the Arabic Bible
7. Holding a ritual and prayer-style KOS style similar to what is done by some Muslims
8. Holding Nasyid, even now there is Nasyid "Amin Albarokah" & Christian Qasidah (with lyrics containing Christian teachings in Arabic) Even though it looks very polite & familiarizes Arabic (Ana, Antum, Syukron, etc.), but they are still Christians . Their scriptures are still the Bible, and they still deify Jesus in the Trinity. Only da'wah methodology resembles Muslims because KOS originated from Syria. KOS does not use the 12 creeds of the Apostolic Faith of Christians, instead they use "Qanun al-Iman al-Muqaddas". The use of the term Islam is very often found, such as "Sayyidina Isa Almasih" for the mention of Jesus. They also use the Arabic Bible (Al-Muqaddas Bible). Although the teachings of the KOS and the teachings of Islam are very similar in their implementation, the KOS and Islam are very much different in terms of monotheism or belief. The principles of the KOS teachings still revolve around the issue of trinity, which is recognizing the existence of a father, god, son and holy spirit. And also Jesus peranakan Mary, has the nature of insaniyah (human-like nature): do not know the season, (Mar 11: 13), weak (John 5:30), afraid (Matt 26:37), sad (Matt 26:38), crying (Jn 11:35), sleeping (Mt 8:24), hungry (Mt 4: 2), thirsty (Jn 19:28), etc.Difference in the principles of Islamic teachings with KOS (Syrian Orthodox Christians):
Monotheism taught by Islam is contrary to KOS. Islam rejects the divinity of Jesus (Surah Al Maaidah 72), while the KOS recognizes Jesus as God.
Islam believes that God does not have a father & mother (Qs. Al Ikhlash 3), while the KOS has a belief, namely recognizing the existence of a father, god son and Holy Spirit. And that Mary is Walidatul ilah (Mother of God).
Islam holds fast the sanctity of the name & nature of Allah: Allah is childless and not begotten, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Strong, Mha Seeing, Doesn't Sleep and is not the same as His creatures, etc. ... the great qualities of Allah)
while KOS is unable to stem the deficiencies in the human nature of Jesus written in the Bible. Even if it is reviewed from monotheism and belief, we can know that KOS is not an Islamic teaching but this doctrine must be very cautious because it looks outwardly it looks similar to a Muslim who uses cockpit cap, hijab and fasting and prayer and also nasheed in Arabic but contain lafazh shyness and mengangangkan jesus which they consider to be god.
