Jakarta (Dreamland Library) - Based on the regional regulation of the city of Magelang in 1889 the date of birth was set on April 11, 907, the inscription of POH and Mantyasih written during the Hindu Mataram era during the reign of King Rake Watukura Dyah Balitung (898-910 AD).
In this inscription it is mentioned that there was a Mantyasih Village and the name of the Glangglang Village, this Mantyasih which later changed to Meteseh, while Glangglang changed to Magelang.
This old proven city is the connecting road of 2 other cities, namely Semarang and Yogyakarta, as an alternative city of Magelang, which was used as economic traffic by the British and became a military city because of its strategic location.
